Pacific Grove

In March I promised my mom that we would take one more trip to Pacific Grove before Robynn and I left for the Azores. This is the place where I and my sister were children, and holds so many memories for my mom of us young. We went last Monday, and got back the day before I shipped my car out. We mostly just played at the beach the whole time, which is one of our favorite things to do. As I sat on the beach, I realized that Robynn and I would continue to do this in the Azores, and I felt much relief. It is a familiar rhythm; the ocean brings much calm and strength to me.
We enjoyed tide pooling of course.
Robynn also really got into making sand castles. She would get the sand, pack it, and sit on the bucket till it was ready to hatch.

She then lovingly decorated each one with seas shells and rocks.
By the end she had a village and roads. We sat on the beach, just the three of us, and did this for a solid 3 to 4 hours each day...bliss.
