Shipping the car

Up to this point our move to the Azores has seemed more like a dream. Lot's of paper work and planning... sure, but it still did not feel truly real. Today, my car was shipped out, and now it feels real. After thinking on our best options, my husband and I decided to ship my car, and to sell his. Just paid the darn thing off too! Oh well. The processing of my car, to send to the Azores, took a little over an hour. Charles took my car and went before Robynn and I. He took care of most the process by himself, and then Robynn and I showed up 45min later to pick him up.  Robynn is doing great with the whole move. I prepared her for our car being shipped through the story I've been telling her about moving. http://dawningflight.blogspot.com/2012/06/story-basket.html Also, It was nice at the processing center because we met other family's with children who were shipping out their vehicles. Robynn and I talked about how all the cars were going to have a good time on their trip, and how our car would make good friends with another car. They would hold tires, using the buddy system, singing, and honking their way to the Azores. Sounds like a good time to me, and Robynn was happy for our car to be off on a fun trip!
