Library Contest

 

Every week Robynn and I go to the library and check out 20 new books. We've been reading so many wonderful stories each week. This has amounted to about 80 books a month! I submitted Robynn's name in the library "Read to me" contest...and she won!!! She got a great  goody bag full of books, stickers, wind up toys,bracelets, games, and toys! What a wonderful surprise, and reward for all the reading.

Recently, I've started volunteering to read story time at the Library once a month on Thursday afternoon's. Robynn and I really enjoy this time. We read a few stories, with a group of children and their parents. I intermix the books with poems, songs, and dance. Afterwards we lead a craft project. It lasts about an hour. I used to volunteer at our local library when I was a teenager, and it's great to start again. I also like that Robynn gets to experience volunteering and giving back to the community too.
