The Base Library

I was so thrilled to find that the Base Library had a large Children's section. They also have two story hours. Wednesdays at 11am and Thursdays at 3pm. During story time a volunteer reads, and then has a craft project for the children. Robynn enjoys story time. We have met a lot of the mom's and children around base this way, and are already starting to make friends. We have been reading the same bed time stories, which I packed for us, over and over for almost a month now. It was with great relief, for all of us; we were able to check out books immediately. Once signed up, you are allowed to check out 24 books at a time and keep them for a week. For the past few weeks, Robynn and I have been going to story time, returning our old books, and getting new ones. I'm really enjoying this routine, and so is Robynn. We get to read a lot of books this way, find our favorites, and have a great variety. Robynn gets really excited hunting for the next story too. At first she was a little sad we had to return the old books, but with the promise of new ones, she quickly got over being sad.
