Moving day

A few days after moving into our house, our first shipment of stuff came in! It was our 1000pounds of necessity items. I was thrilled to see my vacuum. I settled in for a long wait for the rest of our stuff, buy lady luck was with us, and it arrived by boat a few days later. A team of 10 guys showed up with trucks. They have little trucks, so it took 7 trips to get all our stuff here, by the end of the day we had it all. The above picture is Robynn in heaven reuniting with her toys. Everything was delivered on Friday. Over the weekend Charles and I worked hard. Robynn was exceptionally helpful. She played with her toys, helped at times, watched, and of course we took breaks to play with her, take walks, feed the ducks etc. At the end of the weekend we had everything unpacked.
It was a lot of work, exhausting, frustrating at times figuring out what goes where, but it is done. I still have a lot of organizing to do...to get everything just the way I like it. It's nice to have everything put away though, and all the boxes out of the house. To have a working functioning house again after being in the moving process for two months. I really don't know how we unpacked everything in two days. I think it's got to be some type of personal record for Charles and I. I think we were just desperate to make a home again, so Robynn and us felt settled. Now that the house is pretty much together, I'm looking forward to some craft projects again, and more exploring of the island.
