Mermaid
Dream Baby was a big hit (see last weeks post here). http://dawningflight.blogspot.com/2012/08/dream-baby.html Robynn really likes these type of dolls. In fact, I have not met a child yet that does not. She asked me to make a mermaid. I've never tried to make one, but I decided to take the sleeve of a wool sweater and fashion a patten. Basically, I just cut out the tail part and left the rest of the sleeve alone. Then I sewed up the bottom and stuffed with wool. I added arms and a head. I had some green wool, and sewed that onto the head. There are some things I would fix if I made another one, but I still think she came out pretty good.
