Robynn is fine now. It was not a flu. Just a little, welcome to a new country, jump kick for her immune system. We took it easy again today though. During lunch the cleaning crew came to do our room. Robynn had her rain coat on, ready to go outside for a bit after lunch. One of the cleaning crew guys remarked how pretty her rain coat was. Robynn started telling him all about her coat, how it was new, she out grew the old one etc., as he cleaned and she de-pitted a melon for me for lunch. After she had finished telling him about her coat, and he was about to walk out the door he said, in his Azores accent "you know though, I don't think it's the coat itself, I think it is who is wearing the coat that makes it look so pretty." It was such a sweet statement to say. After the door closed behind the crew and they had gone, there was silence for a few minutes, and then I hear a tiny voice, almost a whisper, from under the hood of her rain coat say, "Mom, he is so right." OMG it was so cute!
Other then that once the rain let up, we went to the play ground across the street from us to play for awhile, and over the the Family Readiness center so I could get some pamphlets.
That's our window, as seen from the top of the slide. Other big news is my car is here! I am so happy! I have not driven it yet, although I already have my license to drive here. Charles has been taking the car to get to work. Pretty soon we will buy him a car though, and I'll have mine back. It will feel good to have wheels again.
Aw, I'm glad she's feeling better! What a sweet welcome to the island w/that raincoat interchange.
