Robynn's buddy Eli was there showing his support, and visiting with his daddy as well. After a bit, Mama pal Val, Eli, Robynn and I left our hubby's to work, and went off to check out Rush Ranch.
First thing we did was the horse drawn wagon. It was a beautiful setting of rolling grass hills.
Robynn seemed to enjoy the ride and also listening to the driver tell us about the horses. We also went on a tractor ride.
Then Robynn and Eli climbed the hail bails.
They had a bat on exhibit. Robynn was thrilled to look at this little guy and hear all about him.
Robynn looking at the bat with Nana and Papa, and listening to the person talk about the little critter.
They had water pumps that Robynn enjoyed working.
A beautiful Owl
Demonstrations on sheep herding
Cow lassoing which Robynn had fun trying...
and trying....
and was so happy once she got it.
Horse shoeing
Robynn also enjoyed throwing these through a hoop. After investigating, I found out that they don't have sharp ends. It's just black tape wrapped at the tip of a stick to weigh them down a little.
Since they were not sharp, I felt fine with lettering Robynn try throwing them.
One of Robynn's favorite activity's was breading wheat.
She helped me by picking out the beads, and holding her finger on the wheat to help keep things snug while I braided.
Then the staff added a safety pin so that she could wear what we made.
There was also some vender's. I found this butterfly pin to get Robynn. Rush Ranch was fun. Every year they do an open house. Here is the link: http://www.rushranch.net
I'm glad we went in the morning because by afternoon it was pretty hot. We had a great time hanging out with Val, Eli, Nana, and Papa. Thanks Y'all!
